City Tour of Almaty

During the tour You will get acquainted with the history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan, as well as get acquainted with the main attractions of the city. During the tour You will visit: the historical center of Almaty, 28 Panfilov guards Park, Republic Square, independence Monument, Opera and ballet theatre. Abai, Astana Square, Abai Square.

Park of 28 Panfilov

A walk through the Almaty Park will be very interesting and useful thanks to some buildings and monuments located here. In the Eastern part of the Park are the House of officers and the Museum of folk instruments, a Monument to soldiers-internationalists and a memorial of Glory with Eternal flame. In addition, visitors to the Park have the opportunity to see in the Park and other memorials, such as a monument to soldiers who died in the war.

National Museum of musical instruments

The Republican Museum of folk instruments, opened in 1980, is one of the few in the world.

More than 1000 exhibits are stored in the Museum, more than 60 kinds of types and varieties of Kazakh folk musical instruments, which were used by outstanding singers, improvisers, poets and composers, are collected here.

Day 2

Charyn canyon

It is a picturesque natural area that impresses with its unearthly landscapes. The depth of the canyon is 200 m. The canyon itself is a natural monument made of sedimentary rocks, whose age reaches 12 million years. The scenery here is truly amazing.  Around the Canyon there is silence and only from below you can hear the stormy streams of the Charyn river beating against the cliffs.  One of the attractions of the canyon is the so-called Valley of castles – a rock deposits reminiscent of the shape of the tower, which were created as if unknown giants. The landscape diversity of the Charyn canyon determines the diversity of flora and fauna.

Day 3

Medeo.

The ice skating rink Medeu located at the altitude of 1,691. 2 meters above sea level, known all over the world.  More than 120 world records were set here by famous athletes. The Alpine skating rink is beautiful in any weather. You can admire its beauty from a high point, where You will be lifted by the popular climbing stairs, built on the slope of Mohnatka.

Big Almaty lake

Big Almaty lake or just BAO can rightly be called one of the most favorite places of Almaty residents and their guests. See BAO it Crystal-clear water, like a mirror, reflecting the bright blue sky and takes a beautiful emerald color. The lake is surrounded by picturesque mountains and is protected by the state. To approach the water is not allowed, but with the item intended for review, offers an incredible view.

Birds of prey show

Nursery of birds of prey "Sunkar". This is the name of the nursery of birds of prey, established in 1989 with the aim of breeding rare and endangered species of birds of prey listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan. The only performance with birds of prey in Kazakhstan is held on the territory of the nursery. The presentation involves 7 species of birds of prey, demonstrating, under the guidance of an experienced ornithologist - Falconer, different ways of hunting. The show is accompanied by music. The audience gets a lot of information about the history of falconry, biological features and lifestyle of birds of prey.

Day 4

Turgen Gorge

Turgen gorge is one of the outstanding advantages of Ili-Alatau national Park. It is very close to the center of Almaty, 70 km, if you move to the East. The journey lasts 5-6 hours, either by car or mountain bike.

Lake Issyk

Issyk (another name of the lake - Esik, which means "door" in Kazakh) is a picturesque, mountainous lake surrounded by extremely beautiful nature of dense forests and wide flower fields. The lake is located at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, in Issyk Gorge TRANS-ili Alatau, about 70 km East of Almaty.

Day 5

Park named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

"Park named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which is also called more briefly and simply — "Arboretum", was opened in the summer of 2010. In the Park there are many trees, and visitors will be able to see a Grand monument to the First President of the Republic and a beautiful fountain, stylized under the various signs of the Zodiac.

Day 6

Ile-Alatau nature Park

Ile-Alatau nature Park is located on the territory of three districts: Karasai, Talgar, Enbekshikazakh. The Park was established on February 22, 1996. It is located on the Northern slopes of the TRANS-ili Alatau in close proximity to Almaty.

Its extent from the river Chemolgan in the West and to the river Turgen in the East makes 120 km, and in a diameter reaches 30 km. the Area of Park of 202 292 hectares the national Park is located within absolute heights from 600 to 5000 m above sea level.

Day 7

Kok Tobe

One of the most beautiful and amazing places in the city is Kok-Tobe mountain, located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. You can take the Kok-Tobe by cable car in an air tram, on foot or by a special minibus. From the top offers an amazing view of the mountains and the city. It is especially beautiful at night, when the city is illuminated with colored lights.

The Museum of the city of Almaty

The Central state Museum in Almaty is a material reflection of the entire centuries-old history of Kazakhstan. Here are collected unique archaeological finds from the prehistoric era to the present day.

Green bazaar

Green Bazaar is one of the oldest markets in Alma-ATA. It is located in the Central part of the city, in Medeu district. Trade rows on the site of the Green Bazaar have existed since 1868.
